I have had my LG counter depth refrigerator for almost a year now and love so many featuresup until I turned off the ice makers. We are remodeling the kitchen and the refrigerator had to be disconnected from the water supply so I thought it would be good to turn them off. When I turned them on again the one in the door no longer filled with water although we can get water through the door. I called for a service call made an appointment and was given a window from 8 to 5. No one showed up or called to reschedule. I am very disappointed in the support I have received.

Very disappointed that the refrigerator broke after only 4 months in service and ruined a lot of food. Contacting customer service was difficult and time consuming. When I was finally able to connect with a human I had to be firm and demanding to get a prompt service appointment. The good news is that the technician who came out was able to quickly replace the faulty part and now it is working properly and to specifications. I had to replace the spoiled food at my own expense. Also it is a very handsome product well thought out and I am glad I purchased it. The refrigerator that it replaced worked well for around 28 years and I hope the LG will do the same. I did recommend it to a neighbor who also bought a new LG refrigerator and also just purchased LD washer and dryer.

Terrible smell and no help from LG or Costco yet.

Pleased at first.The appearance is very nice.We purchased it in April and have a warranty on it.The fridge is only 4 months old.This is unacceptable.We noticed a terrible chemical odor starting about 3 or 4 weeks ago.We have made many complaints about the odor.Ww have lost all the food in fridge and freezer due to the odor permeating into the food.A repair man came out and did nothing.The odor is still there.It is not a food odor.It is a chemical smell.We have gotten another repair person now and hoping they can help us. I really cant believe the problem is not resolved yet.I really want this thing replaced.I dont want to mess with this anymore.Hoping for resolution soon......

Within two years of purchase it broke down. We called LG for service and they wanted over $500 just to send someone out to look at it. A local repairman fixed it for about $350 but we can no longer use the ice maker or water spout or it leaks and breaks down still. Less than 2 years old and key function do not work on top of horrendous service policies. Do not recommend.

Had problem when only 4 months old -but now repair

I like the design on this LG as it fits perfectly in its confined space and it complements my kitchen decor. I really like the lit display which shows the temperatures. On the negative side I would like more refrigerator space for tall items on one interior shelf but I knew this when purchased and can certainly live with it as is. On the negative side it broke down when only 4 months old and it took nearly an hour on the phone to schedule repair. I was able to argue my way to have repair persons come within 36 hours and fortunately it doesnt seem like anything spoiled. Evidently a factory fan assembly failed and needed replacement. The repairmen did a very good job and all is well at the time. I have several LG appliances and really appreciate the design and will tend to recommend the brand to others.

Bought this fridge in 2020 specifically because it would fit in the kitchen. Pros - Love the stainless so easy to keep clean. Happy with the space in the fridge and freezer. Perfect for small family. Cons - Wish the glide n serve drawer didnt require opening both fridge doors. Disappointed that the freezer icemaker has failed after only 3 years.

Works well with some design issues

The refrigerator works very well so far. There are some design flaws that I wish I had known about prior to purchasing. The left side door is very heavy and will slam if you dont close it gently. It also will not stay open unless held or propped open because the location of our fridge only allows the door to open 90 degrees. Our previous side by side didnt have these issues. And the top drawer in the freezer also wont stay rolled out unless you hold it.

In Nov. 2023 we purchased this refrigerator. We had to buy the counter size because our doors were not wide enough for a larger refrigerator. This reduced the inside space. The fruit and vegi drawers are inadequate for the fruits and vegis we buy. We used the long skinny drawer for vegis. The vegis froze. Nothing in the manual told us it could not be used for vegis. After a service call we were told it was for deli items which we dont buy. We are disappointed in space that an be used for fruits and vegis.

Does not keep temperature well. Set refrigerator to be 37 degrees yet it tends to hover around 40+ degrees when checked with a refrigerator thermometer sometimes even after having been closed for 8+ hours. Would also be nice if the left and right shelves were independently adjustable without destabilizing them.

The good: The fridge is a perfect size for us and runs quietly. The double ice makers is handy. The bad: The film that the stainless is covered with does not cover the entire right front door. It goes around the LG logo on the top right corner. This looked bad from day one. Now it looks worse since one of my kids picked at it and peeled a little back. It here a way I can get a door that doesnt have the notch around the logo?

Bought our LG fridge a month ago and really love it. The no finger print outside finish really works. Inside it has lots of room. The ice/water dispenser ice holder in the door is a genius idea and makes for more shelf space in the fridge. The second ice maker in the freezer assure us we will have plenty of ice when family and friends stop by. It is very quiet and cools/freezes things very fast. We are so glad we made this purchase and highly recommend this refrigerator.

We had one before and bought this based on our experience. New one needed a new ice maker after3 years and LG very responsive. Only two things that we dont like about this model is that is open on visible legs on the bottom and there was a great thin upper drawer in the lower freezer on our other model but is missing on this one.

Nice Fridge

We moved and bought this fridge a year ago it is our second one like it. Its a fine fridge but the ice maker has never worked and no one could figure out why. Finally a repair place told us there was no voltage getting to the top ice maker. They are replacing the PC board and lets hope for the best.

In the two years of ownership I have had to replace the compressor condenser air dryer and PCB Motherboard twice each and the door ice maker once. Not a very reliable system. Luckily I had purchased an extended warranty so thank goodness for that. I outfitted my complete remodeled kitchen with LG products and now hoping that wasnt a big mistake.

Great counter depth french door refrigerator

Very nice refrigerator. Like the in door water and ice dispenser. Second ice maker in freezer gets you that extra ice. So far so good. The door ice dispenser ice can get stuck if not used but easy to take out and ready to go. Will see how longevity goes. Set temperature to 36F and that is what I got when measured with thermometer. Looks great in kitchen replacing an 19 yr old side by side.

We have a small space and this fridge is perfect for it. Its a smaller-capacity refrigerator though and you have to take that into consideration. It isnt deep enough to hold a12-pack of pop with the open end pointing toward the door but thats its only drawback. The ice maker Its a little loud arent they all? and water dispenser are both great and the fridge is beautiful with a nice digital readout on the door. Lots of extras at a super-affordable price. Were very happy with it.

I bought the fridge 2 years ago and was disappointed with the right door -- it cannot be shut tight a few weeks usage. I did not contact customer service right away as we could shut the door once paying attention. But the quality is poor.

We bought this to replace an aging frig. It is almost a replica of our original frig which was nice especially given the price... we just wanted a reliable basic fridge - not all the fancy features monitors etc. ...also it was actually quite a bit cheaper than the original from 9 years ago. Only drawbacks have been that it is a little bit smaller 2 cu ft and so far the water dispenser has pretty high pressure good for big cup/pitcher but too much for smaller glass

Our new LG refrigerator was delivered and installed on April 11 2023. Its a great refrigerator except for one problem. The water being dispensed has a horrible chemical flavor. We followed the instructions in the owners manual for the steps to take before dispensing the water to drink for the first time. We must have dispensed and dumped 10 gallons of water by now yet the terrible flavor persists. Is it the filter or something else? Very annoying and disappointing for a brand new appliance. Ed Perry

Ongoing problem: water dispenser taste and odor

In October 2022 I purchased this refrigerator new and had it installed by my contractor in a newly gut-renovated home with 100 new plumbing lines. From day 1 the water and ice dispensing from my LG LFXC22526S has a bad odor and taste. Strangely the water coming out of the LG fridge dispenser tastes worse than the kitchen sink water which is three feet away and has no odor or bad taste. I have been calling LG since October about this problem. So far I have changed the filter three times flushed many gallons of water through the filters had my plumber come and change the water line to the fridge to LGs recommended PEX cable and stayed home from work twice to let technicians into the house. An LG subcontractor was sympathetic but couldnt help. An LG tech was congested when he arrived and said I cant smell anyway then submitted paperwork saying my fridge is working as designed. I have a Brita pitcher in my fridge and drink the water from that. We dont use the water dispenser or the ice cubes from the LFXC22526S at all - the ice cube tray just takes up space in the freezer Unfortunately I cant recommend this product. I am beginning to believe the water will never be drinkable as I have not received any reliable customer support from LG.

I bought this LG refrigerator to replace another brand with 28 cubic feet of storage inside with an additional exterior snack drawer. It was fine however I felt that the additional snack drawer was a waste of space and because the freezer was so deep a lot of food became lost on the bottom. This refrigerator is perfectly sized and doesnt take over my small kitchen like the larger size. It is a bit small for all the vegetables that I purchase but I feel that it is perfect for my husband and myself. It runs smooth quiet and easy to wipe the outside from any smudges. Makes more than enough ice and stays at a perfect consistent temperature. I love the quality performance and style of LG appliances. I own a top load washer and dryer two televisions and now this beautiful refrigerator. I am a huge fan and look forward to adding more of this brand into my home.
